Gun Control, or Environmental Control

 Gun Control, or Environmental Control?

In today's news media, mass murder is glorified with press coverage under the guise of the public's right to know.

But what about the public's right, not to know?

The media argues that if you do not want to know, turn off the TV.
But what about the public's right to keep the would be copy cats from knowing? Or in other words, the public's right to be protected under the law?

The media argues, "Freedom of the Press", and that this is the world we live in.
But the truth is, that this is not the world we live in. For if it were, then murder, even mass murder, would not be reported on as it would be nothing more than an everyday event. Therefore and in consideration of the Freedom of the Press. What about the mental health issue of providing an environment in which retribution through mass murder is the norm? For it is just such an environment that is praised by the news media, each time an incident occurs. Isn't that the same as an AR-15 with a multi-round clip? But that the bullets (news reports), are confirmations of fame and glory?

Many argue, that if only we had gun control, these criminal acts would not occur.
But what about China, where mass murders are committed with knives and swords?
And the Middle East, where mass murders are committed with home made bombs?

Many would argue that guns make it easier to commit these heinous acts, and therefore they should be banned. But what about planes, trains, and automobiles? All of which can be just as easily obtained. And all of which can be used to commit mass murder on an even more massive scale than an AR-15. Should not these weapons of destruction be banned as well? But that these types of implements are not as glorified as the gun. And why not? But that the News Media would have us to believe that while a train wreck is tradjec, it is not nearly as impressive or horrifying as a shooting. Which in perspective, argues to the point that, these types of acts should Not be publicized. As each time a mass shooting is publicized, copy cats, and even competitors for infamy, rise up to make their mark in history. And as the only reason for using a gun, is for the publicity.

In conclusion
The banning of guns will only promote the use of other, and more deadly weapons such as planes, trains, and automobiles. As these types of killing implements, would then be glorified by the press.

More than a sociological problem; gun violence, and even violence itself, is an environmental problem. And as it is the News Media that pollutes our environment with glorifications of such violence. It is the News Media that should be Banned from reporting on such incidents, while at the same time maintaining the freedom of the press by allowing them to report on the punishment of the criminals, rather than on the act itself.

The solution to ending Mass Shootings and even Terrorism, is not gun control.
It is Environmental Control.

The Swine Flu Epidemic, that wasn't.

The Swine Flu Epidemic,
that wasn't.

Oh but it will be if our government has anything to do with it. Thousands of Infected Mexicans are streaming into Texas, and Governor Rick Perry says, "Not a Problem". And why should it be when he plans on using State and Federal facilities to treat these carriers of death. Not to mention giving them Your highways.

On the Federal side, we're not faring much better as this president seems to be set on continuing the Bush Policies of Open Borders, and No Defenses. Not to mention the Bush Bail-Out policies, the Bush Tax & Spend policies, and.. you know what i mean.
Welcome, to the New World Order! The New Hope!

The Great Swine Flu Manipulation!

Not just a local government experiment this time but World Wide manipulation of the people's minds and fears, has Egypt ordering slaughter of 300,000 pigs. (Which is really strange as the Muslims don't eat pork.)

School closings in major cities when one child simply sneezes. Or plays hookie claiming "I'm Sick".

But hey! It gives an otherwise Bored blogger something to write about so, I guess it ain't all bad. ;) And it keeps our minds off the economy, and away from out guns and religion.

So just what Really went on in that G20 meeting I wonder? Is this but the beginning?

Texas Announces MILEAGE TAX!!!

Trash Dispatch:

Texas Announces MILEAGE TAX!!!

TXDOT, the Texas Department of Transportation, is considering the implementation of a Mileage-Based User Tax, on all it’s highways.

In quoting Martin Capper, CEO of MARK IV IVHS, TxDOT has stated in their blog “Keep Texas Moving” that;

As current federal-aid surface transportation legislation is scheduled to expire in September 2009, and with infrastructure needs far out-stripping funding from current taxes, Martin Capper, CEO of MARK IV IVHS, told the 5,000 delegates of the 15th World Congress last week in New York that a mileage-based fee is technically possible and is a fair way to collect funds needed to meet North America’s infrastructure needs.

And Further that;

According to Capper, “With key transportation leaders seeking an annual increase in infrastructure spending as great as $50 billion per year, we must look at alternatives to the motor fuel tax, especially in the long term when fuel tax revenue will decline because of fuel economy, alternative fuels and a long-term increase in oil prices.”To raise $ 50 billion annually with fuel taxes would require an increase in the current federal motor fuels tax of about 28 cents-per-gallon. A two (2) cent-per-mile user fee would raise the same amount based only on activity in the top 100 major Metropolitan areas. Nationally, the revenue collected would be substantially more.

And just “how” would TxDOT go about Tracking the mileage of Texas Highway users?

“Because of its inherent fairness in allocating costs to system users, a per-mile fee is one option that should be considered,” added Capper. “5.9 GHz is proven and could be utilized to implement such a new fee, as well as offering coast-to-coast ubiquity for motorists in applications that today utilize disparate technologies such as electronic toll collection.”

5.9 GHz has moved past the theoretic stage with successful field testing in California and Detroit during 2008. Once in place, a 5.9 GHz open-architecture system would be available for many additional applications, including a mileage-based fee to support infrastructure.

And just what is this 5.9 GHz technology?

5.9 GHz DSRC is a powerful new communication medium between moving vehicles and the roadway as well as directly among moving vehicles. DSRC uses an allocation of radio frequency spectrum established by the FCC to enable a broad slate of public and private safety applications that promise to enhance the productivity of the nation’s transportation system. The development of 5.9 GHz DSRC is a critical milestone toward introduction of numerous applications such as intersection collision warning, curve speed warning, rollover warning, emergency electronic brake lights, nationally interoperable electronic toll collection and many others, some of which have not yet been conceived. Focusing on safety applications is part of the federal government’s commitment to reducing vehicle fatalities by 50 percent in 10 years. - Source: Industrial Embedded Systems- Consortium Demonstrates 5.9 GHz DSRC Technology

HA! Well, it appears as though the Government is focusing on More than saftey applications, now.

And though I don’t fully understand how it works, I can tell you that the 5.9 GHz DSRC is a Tiny little Chip embedded into the “tires” of your vehicle which then communicates (via PUBLIC air ways) with Roadside “Government” monitoring stations.

And it appears as though, TxDOT will be monitoring the movements of it’s citizens, very soon.

Your Comments are Welcome, and OH… Question…

Do you think that this is the technology that will someday be “embedded” into the Hand, or Forehead, of a Human Being??? (for Our own Safety, of course..)

Teen sex study doubts ”technical virginity”Teen Sex

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A survey examining sexual practices of U.S. teens has undercut the notion that many engage in oral sex rather than intercourse to stay ”technically” virgins, researchers said on Tuesday. The findings, published…

“There is a widespread belief that teens engage in nonvaginal forms of sex, especially oral sex, as a way to be sexually active while still claiming that, technically, they are virgins,” Laura Lindberg of the Guttmacher Institute in New York, who led the study, said in a statement.

“However, our research shows that this supposed substitution of oral sex for vaginal sex is largely a myth. There is no good evidence that teens who have not had intercourse engage in oral sex with a series of partners.”

TrashDispatch- Can Unpopular Workers Be Fired?

Trash Dispatch:

Can Unpopular Workers Be Fired?

The above question was posted (at digg.com) as a headline to a story at CNNMoney.
Upon investigation I found that the original headline read…

“Can I fire an unpopular worker?”
“Unpleasant personality traits can be grounds
Everybody hates me for termination.” …

… the story by Anne Fisher- was actually a question that was posed to FORTUNE Small Business with the following story…

“– Dear FSB: One of my employees is pretty capable, but she lacks people skills. No one in the office likes dealing with her. Recently she called me at home at 9 P.M. on a Friday, crying and saying she was typing up her résumé because the entire staff was against her. I listened, and then hinted that it wasn’t the time or place to discuss this. Now office tension is high. Can I tell this woman that, because she said she was updating her résumé, I assume she’s given notice?

- Joanna, Portsmouth, N.H. “

In response, FSB wrote; “Dear Joanna: Not quite.”

If this person is doing her job at an acceptable level then there is no reason to fire her. It’s her colleagues whose behaviour should be corrected. It should not matter to a professional whether you like a colleague or not. Nobody is asking them to invite an unpopular colleague out for drinks after work, just to treat them with respect and professional courtesy. If they can’t do that then it is their future with the company that should be questioned, not the unpopular person.

“doctordbx” (http://digg.com/users/doctordbx) said;
My personal view is that business is not a popularity contest but moreso situations like this arise from poor strategic management of an organisation, i.e. people are not aligned with the vision or goals and are more focused on ‘what’s for lunch?’ and ‘look at that bitch!’

I’m not saying employees shouldn’t look to have a social element in the workplace, to the contrary there should be a positive effort to create one - just focus it around the reason why the company is there… i.e. teams of people with shared goals.

Of course, the challenge is to do also do this without creating a total Dilbert experience.
Also you will find people that bitch a lot about other employees and play popularity games are either smokescreening, incompetent or have nothing to do. Sad but true.

“DangerCollie” (http://digg.com/users/DangerCollie) said;
I’m not sure about the laws in New Hampshire but if it’s an “at will” state, you don’t need a reason to fire someone. And a disruptive personality is a good reason in my book. I’ve fired gifted programmers and designers because they were jagoffs to work with and, on one occasion, because of after hours activities. In the tech business you sometimes have colorful personalities and that’s part of the attraction of the business. But when that color starts coloring the entire company, you gotta make a choice between one disruptive employee and the health of the organization. It’s a no brainer, give her two weeks to find a new job and hustle her butt out the door. Make it clear to the other employees that she was let go because of an inability to get along. That will give them a feeling that they have some measure of control over their work environment. You don’t want too much of that feeling out there, but a little bit is very empowering.

Open source in schools could save the taxpayer billions

A model of Open Source school computing is emerging which could save the taxpayer billions of pounds and provide enormous opportunities for the home-grown technology sector based around Open Source software. -

computerworlduk- In a 2005 report the Government quango Becta showed that schools could effect considerable savings by making use of Free Open Source software such as Open Office. In their study they simply looked at “like for like” software replacement using existing networks and computers.

Since this study we have seen the emergence of the new breed of ultra-portable Linux-based computers aimed squarely at the education sector and the inexorable build of Web 2 services such as Google Apps.

TrashDispatch: Obama Wins! Hillary Loses!

Trash Dispatch:

Barack ObamaWINS!!! - Hillary Clinton Loses.

"Ladies and Gentlemen,
the Next President of the United States,
Barack Hussien Obama!"
The first Black President, of the United States.

Running on a platform of "Change", Senator Barck Obama "Trashes" Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming the next President of the United States, and for that matter, from even becoming the Democratic nominee.

I guess the people figured a "Woman President", isn't change enough. Maybe that's because the female contender, Hillary Rodum Clinton, is too closely tied to former "Male" President, Bill Clinton (the former First black President). Figuring, a vote for Hillary, is a vote for Bill; the people have decided, to Really turn things upside down by voting for Barack Hussien Obama who is Really Black. I mean, ...Truly black. Er, uh, I mean, a Natural black. Well, a Half black anyway. At least, that's how it appears. The "concensus", that is.

However, and if that were Really true,
then why are there No Black votes being registered for Alan Keyes?

The answer to that question however, is not to be taken lightly. Nor shall it be, I'm sure. For the Truth is, Senator Barack Hussien Obama preaches a message of abuse, victimization, and hopelessness. Whereas Alan Keyes preaches the opposite message.

Or in other words; Barack Obama preaches-
"you Deserve, everything you can get from the government".
While Alan Keyes preaches- "you deserve only that which you are willing to Work for."

Again in other words, Alan Keyes preaches-
"Independence", (and yes, Ron paul preaches the same message of independence but that, he's White, so that he is already labelled as a racist; doesn't help the message). Whereas Barack Hussien Obama preaches- "Dependence". In truth saying; "let us return into Egypt!, instead of taking care of ourselves, which is Hard!"

And yes, Hillary Clinton preaches the same "return to Egypt" message as Barack Obama but, and as with Ron Paul, she's White! So that the message again becomes diluted by what the eyes see. Hence, if Hillary expects to win this thing, she is going to have to Change her message. Otherwise, she will be going toe-to-toe with the very one for whom the message was created. The Oppressed!

And as God Only knows, "once a loser, always a loser"; there is just no way you will ever be able to convince them that they are, and were, in truth, created to "be" even from the very begining; ...winners.

I say that because, the truth is that the "Lie" that the Serpent used to decieve Eve, is/was/is, that she was... Not like God! And had in fact, been victimized by Him. (Genesis 3:1)

Well I mean after that, "What could God do???"
I mean, Eve didn't Trust Him anymore.
And I mean, what did/do you expect God to do?
Beg, and Plead, and wimper like some, "man"?

So He (God), did the only thing He could do,
the only thing a man, Should do.

He let her go her own way.

She of course, (and I do mean "of Course",) took Adam with her.
But that, is another story.

In the end folks, let me just say this. "Trust No One!"

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box

I bought a bird feeder. I hung
it on my back porch and filled
it with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it is, as I filled it
lovingly with seed. Within a
week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table …
everywhere!

Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.

And others birds were
boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn’t even
sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be . quiet, serene
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal.

Now let’s see …
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free
education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the
tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
your child’s 2nd grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn’t speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
‘press one’ to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than ‘Old Glory’ are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
its time for the government
to take down the bird feeder.

Bill Cosby’s Rant: We Can’t Blame White People Anymore.

Trash Dispatch:
frm; pufone.org

They’re standing on the corner and they can’t speak English. I can’t even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain’t, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be… And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it’s important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can’t be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we’ve got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won’t spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn’t know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father?

Why isn’t pot legal in U.S.?

Trash Dispatch:
In an article produced by “Gloria Baraquio” for the “Hawaii Tribune”, Gloria writes:

“When I first moved here, I thought marijuana was illegal. And then after living here a few years, I realized that everyone and their mom either smokes it, buys it, grows it, or sells it. So then I thought weed wasn’t illegal. But then in the past few weeks, I’ve been hearing about these drug busts and house raids and farms getting shut down, which has made me start to think, once again, that marijuana is in fact illegal.”

It is quite obvious, to someone who isn’t stoned,
that if you have questions about the law, you ASK!!!

And what better authority to ask, than the law itself?
This simple solution however, seems to have escaped the brain cells of the Hawaiian columnist. As in truth, so have a lot of other things.

Ten not-so-great things about the 1950s

Trash Dispatch: The BBC has published an article listing, "10 not-so-great things about the 1950s".

I'm not sure "why" this article was published, unless, either; 1. the BBC has run out of material. Or 2. it is the Character of the BBC to Crush Anything they perceive as better than themselves.

The Trash Dispatch subscribes to the latter. As surely there is More than enough to write about in Today's world. Nevertheless they may have gotten tired of tearing down the pillars of today's society (not), and decided they would tear down all previous societies perceived by the today's general populous as having been Better, than what we have today. Or, in other words, to destroy the current populous perception of, "the Good Ol Days."

Interestingly, the article begins by discarding the fact that, those "were" the Good Ol Days, stating;

"We might enjoy cheap flights, e-mail and plasma televisions, but a report by Somerfield says one in four people want to return to the decade of the Suez War and the Coronation.

Bobbies on the beat (80%), district nurses (55%), bus conductors (41%) and rag-and-bone men (20%) were among the features of life those surveyed most wanted to revive or expand.

This has been presented by some dewy-eyed newspapers as evidence that life 50 years ago was better than now. A time of decency and strong community ties, yes, but what aspects of that life were not so appealing?"

It has been the experience of the Trash Dispatch that anytime an entity poses that question, it is not in the interest of "education", but in the interest of "brainwashing" a current populous, or person, into believing that the "life" being offered to, or *imposed upon them Now, isn't so bad.
