NFL Player Has Leg Amputed After Being Shot

Trash Dispatch:

NFL Player Has Leg Amputed After Being Shot

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Richard Collier, shot while sitting in a car outside an apartment complex earlier this month, is paralyzed below the waist and his left leg was amputated, his doctor said Monday.

Collier was on a ventilator for about three weeks and has no memory of the shooting, said Dr. Andy Kerwin, a surgeon for the University of Florida at Shands Jacksonville hospital.

"His overall condition has improved greatly," Kerwin said. "We expect him to be discharged soon."

Kerwin said Collier suffered 14 bullet wounds to the back, left groin, left legs and right buttock. In addition, a bullet severed his spinal cord, causing the paralysis. The amputation was the result of damage to his left leg and groin, where blood clots formed. Five bullets alone were removed from his urinary bladder and the 26-year-old player also had bouts of pneumonia, infections and renal failure.

Still, his condition has been upgraded to good from critical.

Jessica Simpson Completes Elaborate Plan To Destroy Cowboys' Season

DALLAS—Speaking to reporters she had invited into her impenetrable subterranean Texas lair on Monday, Jessica Simpson gloated over the victory she recently achieved after nearly two years of using her personal charms, her unique brand of cunning, and every resource at her disposal to meticulously plot the downfall of the Cowboys' 2007 season.

"Ever since I was a little girl growing up in football-obsessed Texas, it's been a dream of mine to completely bring the evil, arrogant Cowboys organization and its boorish and cocky fans to their knees. But the suave and sophisticated players on that team are nigh-unapproachable for a nice country girl like me," Simpson declared from her Throne of Thorns, situated in the surveillance room of her headquarters. "And then I saw Tony. Instantly I knew that he was the weak link, the keystone, the only one for me to exploit."

Trash Dispatch: Tony Romo FAILS! Dallas Cowboys LOSE!!!

Trash Dispatch:
Tony Romo FAILS!!!
Dallas Cowboys LOSE!!!

In a game that was Bigger than the Super Bowl itself, in that it would have restored fan confidence and in spirit, given them the Faith that they needed to ward off any Future Trash Dispatch; Tony Romo Loses his cool and YELLS at his Own players (Blaming the offesive line), his coaches, and yes, even the referees. This proves that there is a DARK side to Tony Romo, that up until Jan. 13 2008, had been hidden from the public and his fans.

Many of course, will Still refuse to open their eyes. In deed, DallasCowboys.com writer Rob Phillips... -are you ready for this?-... Blames Patrick Crayton for dropping a single pass.

The Rob Phillips DallasCowboys.com article says Nothing about Tony Romo, and merely gives honorable mentions to Marion Barber, Terrell Owens, and Terry Glenn.

But the worse part about the Rob Phillips article, is the headline... "Heartbreaker", he calls it. (You can almost hear the tears running down his cheeks, along with ALL the other Cowboy fans.) But make no mistake, this game was NOT a heartbreaker, it was an EMBARRASSMENT!!!

And I Don't mean an embarrassment to Tony Romo, (SKREW TONY ROMO). I'm talking about the SHAME Tony Romo has now brought to his fans, to the fans of the Dallas Cowboys football Team, and to the Dallas Cowboy Football Organization itself, for having a quarterback who Doesn't Care what the fans (he calls critics) think, saying; "I'm comfortable in my own skin".

Well Tony, maybe you Are comfortable in your own skin. But the Dallas Cowboy Football Fans, are No Longer Comfortable with Your skin!

You BETRAYED us, Tony!
And you betrayed us,
for Another Woman.

[Pic taken from DallasCowboys.com shows Tony Romo Running for his Life, as he didn't even have the presents of mind to get rid of the ball, before being Sacked for a Thirty Yard Loss!)

In truth, I guess, I should be directing my anger towards Dallas Cowboy Football Coach Wade Phillips, as it was he who Failed, to keep Tony Romo focused on the game. But hell, he should have to! I mean, look folks, even Terrell Owens, who is known for his Bad attitude, came into the game with a Good attitude, and prepared.

Trash Dispatch: The Blood of the Dallas Cowboy Football Fans, is on the hands of Tony Romo! And should Wade Phillips get Fired over this, then let Wade's blood also be on Tony's hands.

Wipe that Smile off your face Tony. Perception, is Everything!
And after your Outburst on the field, the fans now Know who you are.
Not the hero once "perceived", but a liability. And a Cancer, that needs to be Removed!

Joe Gibbs Resigns as Redskins Head Coach

Washington Redskins Coach Joe GibbsTrash Dispatch: Redskins coach Joe Gibbs is resigning, according to Redskins sources. The team is planning a news conference this afternoon to discuss the Hall of Famer’s decision to leave as both coach and team president.

Gibbs, who built the team in to a national powerhouse in the 1980s, told Snyder that he’d promised himself when he returned to coaching that he would do things differently this time and wouldn’t allow the job to consume him, the person familiar with their discussion said. But he hadn’t been able to make that transformation. Instead, the 67-year-old coach poured himself into the job and found it to be every bit as taxing as it ever had been. When he got to the end of this season, he felt he had nothing left.

Gibbs was inducted into the football Hall of Fame after guiding the team to three Super Bowl victories in his first 12-year term as coach. But he enjoyed far less success since emerging from retirement four years ago to a five-year, $27.5 million contract. Compared to a 140-65 win-loss record between 1981 and 1992 — the NFL’s third-best winning percentage — the team has been 31-36 under Gibbs this time around. Two of his three losing seasons as an NFL head coach have come since 2004.

Trash Dispatch: Washington Redskins -SLAUGHTER- Dallas Cowboys

What happen to the Dallas Cowboys? What happen to the Washington Redskins? A team that wasn’t given much of a chance -just 5 games ago- has now come out of nowhere to determine their own destiny by Annihilating the Dallas Cowboys.

Answer for the Washington Redskins:
Coach “Joe Gibbs”, -and- Quarterback “Tod Collins”.
And I don’t know. But maybe, just maybe, “Sean Taylor”.

As for the Dallas Cowboys, well, there’s just no easy way to say it. A team that boast a 13-3 season record, has Lost it’s will to win. Sure, Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins was meaningless to the Cowboys as far as Playoffs, or even Home Field advantage was concerned. But in as far as the last four or five games have been concerned, only one thing has change in the Cowboy Camp that could have ‘possibly” brought about their demise. “Jessica Simpson”!

I know, I know, that “shouldn’t” be the reason. But, how else do you explain it? The Dallas Cowboys are (or were) second only to the New England Patriots in favor of winning the Super Bowl. Now however, it seems Da’ Boys, are doomed for a repeat of last season’s single Playoff game Loss, due to a Tony Romo fumble.

Dallas Cowboys vs Jessica Simpson, and o yeah, the Philidelphia Eagles.

Jessica SimpsonTrash Dispatch: Sunday, December 16, 2007. The Dallas Cowboys are Defeated and literally SHAMED, not by any Worthy opponent such as the Philidelphia Eagles. But by a Blond Headed, Daddy’s Girl Bimbo/HARLOT, by the name of Jessica Ann Simpson.

Not to take anything away from the Philidelphia Eagles, BUTT, let’s face it. The Dallas Cowboys have scored no less than 30 points in any one game this year. Not until “Blond Sunday”, that is. And by the way, “Jessica”! The Cowboy colors are “BLUE AND SILVER“!!!
NOT PINK!!!

More so than even the New England Patriots could ever have even hoped to have done, Jessica Simpsom has disgraced Tony Romo, and even the entire Dallas Cowboy Organization and fans like as Now, we know, that the Dallas Cowboys are NOT a Team whereby one supports the other, but is in fact, Tony Romo ALONE.

Forget Terrell Owens, who actually made Donovan Mcnabb look good when he played for the Eagles. Forget Jason Whitten, who is the best Tight-end ever to play the game since Jay Novachek. Forget Marion Barber, the next Emmit Smith. And truly, forget about Any Other player on the Dallas Cowboy team as None of them, are anything without Tony Romo.

Now, I’m not against heroes. But anytime the fate of an otherwise indefeasible Super Bowl team depends upon the “integrity” of one man, then, that team is not a team, but a Fake!

In deed and in performance, the Dallas Cowboys are Not the Dallas Cowboys, but Tony Romo. And Tony Romo, is nothing less, than the Hero who FAILED!!!

Jessica Simpson- He’s MY BOY!!!Worse, he is now a “liability” for the Dallas Cowboys as, if nothing else, Jessica HARLOT Simpson has proven Tony LONELY Romo, to be the “chink” in the Dallas Cowboy Armor. Better to have a drug addict like Quincy Carter for the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys as then, all we would have to do is dope him up before a game and expect nothing less than a stellar performance as he would have his first love literally, out there on the field with him, instead of distracting him with anticipation.

Let us hope therefore, yes, and even PRAY Dallas Cowboy fans, that Jessica Simpsom is but a memory come next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Yet if not by then, then at least by the Play-Offs! I mean, PLEASE LORD, we’ve come So Far! Please don’t let this Satanic Harlot Destroy that which Satan himself could not do. Please God, SAVE the Dallas Cowboys!!!

But, as we all know. God ain’t too good about answering prayers. My fear therefore, is that “this’ season, our first Winning season since the 1990’s, is already lost. And that if Jerry Jones is as smart as I believe him to be, he will have already begun his search for a New Quarterback. As this one, “Tony *Betray his team and fans* Romo”, has proven just how “unreliable”, he really is.

A shame. Truly, a Damn Shame!

[POSTNOTE: to Tony Romo]

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law, as the apple of thine eye.
Bind them upon thy fingers, and write them upon the table of thine heart.
Say unto wisdom, Thou, art my sister. And call understanding, thy kinswoman.

Do this, that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. For at the window of my house, I looked out, and beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man “void of understanding” passing through the street near her corner, he went the way to her house.

In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night. Behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house.

Now is she without, now in the streets,
she lieth in wait at every corner.

And so, she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, “I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.”

“I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works , with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. For the goodman (Nick Lachey) is not at home, he is gone a long journey.”

With her much fair speech, she caused him to yield. With the flattering of her lips she forced him. And he went after her straightway as an ox goeth to the slaughter. Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks.

Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare,
he knoweth not that it is for his life/Career.

Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye Tony Romo,
and attend to the words of my mouth.

Let not thine heart decline to her ways,
go not astray in her paths.

For she hath cast down many wounded:
yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Proverbs Chapter 7

May God be with you Tony Romo. For in the end, Jessica Simpson, will not be.

But then, I don’t know. Maybe it is enough for you to be another trophy, on her mantle. Or rather, on her father’s mantle. After all, as Daddy’s little girl, it would be her father whom you would have to marry and satisfy, not her.

The Dallas Cowboys, and the win that wasn’t.

Trash Dispatch:
IRVING - Nobody wanted to see the torch passed like this.

Tony Romo is the NFC’s best quarterback on what is now the conference’s best team. He proved that Thursday night in Dallas’ 37-27 home victory over Green Bay.

It’s just a shame the player Romo wrestled that distinction from didn’t even last until halftime.

Brett Favre — Romo’s childhood football hero and the legend to whom his helter-skelter style is most compared — was sidelined early in the second quarter. Packers coach Mike McCarthy played dumb about his quarterback’s health after the game, but Favre admitted he suffered a separated left shoulder and injured a nerve in his right forearm/elbow. Favre was in so much pain initially that he compared the right arm injury to being hit in the funny bone — only “10 times as hard with a hammer.”

Cheeseheads shouldn’t panic yet. Favre plans to play Dec. 9 against Oakland, which is what you would expect from a quarterback who has started an NFL-record 269 consecutive games (including the postseason). By then, Favre hopes the swelling in his elbow dissipates, the numbness in two of his right fingers fades and the shoulder is “one of those things you can shoot up and play with.”

Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions Preview NFL Football Betting Stats

Trash Dispatch:
The Dallas Cowboys (11-1 SU, 9-3 ATS), fresh off the home win over Green Bay that gave them the inside track on home field advantage in the NFC playoffs, visit the Motor City on Sunday to face off against a sliding Detroit Lions team (6-6 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) in a game scheduled for a 1 PM EST start at Ford Field (artificial turf). In the BetUS NFL football betting odds, Dallas is listed as an 11-point favorite, with the over/under posted at 52 points.”

Note: The Trash Dispatch does not participate in, nor does it recommend, gambling. However, for pre-game stats, sometimes gambling sites are the place to go. The following, and the above, are Examples taken from betus.com:

* DALLAS averages 32.9 ppg (2nd in NFL)

* DALLAS has played four of its last five games OVER the total

* DALLAS has played 12 of its last 16 games OVER the total

* DALLAS has played its last six road games OVER the total

* DETROIT has played four of its last five games OVER the total

* DETROIT has played five of its last eight home games OVER the total

* Three of the last four meetings have gone OVER the total

Since they played in a Thursday night game, Dallas should be well-rested and ready to go. And that means ready to score points.

If not for the year Tom Brady’s having, Tony Romo would be a very viable MVP candidate. Romo has tallied 33 TD passes and averaged 8.8 yards an attempt, which is phenomenal. and he has done it without the services of Terry Glenn, who’s been out with an injury. Thankfully for them, Patrick Crayton has slipped very nicely into that second WR slot (524 yards, 7 TD’s), next to Terrell Owens, who can be penciled onto the All-Pro team (1249 yards, 14 TD’s). And then there’s Jason Witten, as good a tight end as there is in the league.

Roy Williams has been lost to the Lions for the season. That’s a big blow, but Mike Martz, the architect of this offense, has other guys who can make plays. And Jon Kitna is a good “stat” player. Kitna is not necessarily so much more productive at home, but he seems to be better protected (18 sacks, as opposed to 29 on the road) and he has a 7-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio at Ford Field. And he will throw it until his arm falls off. The running game gets lip service, but not much action from Martz; the Lions had 23 rushing yards on Sunday against Minnesota, and over the past four games that makes for a total of 164 over the last four games. Kitna, after Sunday’s game against Minnesota, complained that “We don’t have a lot of people in our boat right now,” meaning they have abandoned ship. Detroit has lost four in a row, during which time it has allowed 31.5 ppg.

The Detroit stop unit has been conspicuous by its absence at Ford Field in particular. Only two teams in the entire NFL give up more yardage at home than the Lions do. And Dallas has scored 34 ppg over its last six away from home, all of which has been victories.

These clubs have met six times in the last five seasons. In that time there have been three overs and three unders. But of most import might have been last year’s meeting, when Romo was playing (321 yards, two TD’s) and Mike Martz was on the job as offensive coordinator for Detroit. That game, played on New Year’s Eve, ended with Detroit winning 39-31.

Both these teams have been gravitating toward playing “over” the total recently, each exceeding the number in four of their last five games. And Dallas has played six straight road games over the total as well. They love to throw the ball, combining for 519 passing yards per game. And that means the clock will stop frequently.

Washington Redskins Sean Taylor Dies after shooting

washington-redskins-sean-taylorSean Taylor, a star defensive player with the National Football League’s Washington Redskins, died on Tuesday after being shot during what police said was a possible burglary at his home near Miami.

Taylor, 24, who was the Redskins’ first pick in the 2004 draft, was shot in the groin area, severing his femoral artery.

He was airlifted to Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital but died from his wound after heavy blood loss.

The 2007 Thanksgiving Day 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Football Post Game Report.

Trash Dispatch:

Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo scores 29 Touchdown passesThe 2007 Thanksgiving Day 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Football Post Game Report.

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys in what should have been, a “50 - 0″ Flame Out for the New York Jets, just barely pulled this game out of the Spitoon with a “34 - 3″ Win.

Yeah ok. So it wasn’t even close. And the Dallas Cowboys handily put the New York Jets on a flight back to New York where they will lick their wounds right along side the New York Giants!

And yeah, Tony Romo eclipsed former Dallas Cowboy “Danny White’s” record of 29 Touchdown passes.

And yeah, the Dallas Cowboys are off to their Best Start EVER in their history at 10 and 1.

But make no mistake! The Jets gave a valiant effort before flaming out in Texas Stadium to fall to a miserable 2 - 9 record as “incredibly”, the Dallas Cowboy Defense did seem to step up on Turkey Day to hold the New York Jets to a three (3) point field goal which they made early in the game. But, …and as long as they can do it again Next Thursday, well then we should be ok.

However, and again, “BUT…,” we’re playing the GREEN BAY PACKERS next week and, …well, they ain’t the New York Jets. In fact, they ARE, … “Bret Farve”!

Need I say more?

Still, Terrence Newman is BACK!!! (which would account for the “3″ instead of “30″ points by the New York Jets.)
And I fully expect Patrick Crayton to be back to his ol Play Making self, delivering us (the fans), another game critical performance. Which, in the end, I guess, might just be the very element to account for my feeling of “un-easiness” about next week’s game against the Green Bay Packers as, and like I said, this game against the “4 - 6″ New York Jets should have been “50 - 0″, …by the end of the third quarter. But it didn’t happen! Instead, what happened was the Dallas Cowboys were held to “Two (2) Field Goals”, instead of two Touchdowns. And that bothers me!

Again, and I Pray, that Patrick Crayton is in fact, the reason the Cowboys didn’t score the points they Should have been able to score. As then he will be able to give us those Extra points that “i am Sure”, we are going to need against the Packers.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m just being (((PARANOID))). But after all, these are, the Green Bay Packers!!! And in case you haven’t been around for very long, I will tell you that the Packers, have Packed Our Cheese, a Bunch of times. Remember the “Ice Bowl”???

One thing is for sure. Both teams are “10 - 1″!
And no doubt, they will both give us all, the Game of the Century!

Thanks Guys!!!

The Dallas Cowboys 40th Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic

Trash Dispatch: Dallas Cowboys Football, November 22, 2007, Thanksgiving Day!

Leading up to the game, Zach Buchanan - DallasCowboys.com Staff Writer - writes;

GAME SET
WHAT: New York Jets (2-8) at Dallas Cowboys (9-1)
WHEN: Thursday, 3:15 p.m. (CST)
WHERE: Texas Stadium, Irving, Texas
TELEVISION: CBS (Jim Nantz and Phil Simms)

BIG ISSUE: The road to winning their first NFC East title since 1998 doesn’t get any easier for the Cowboys, even after dispatching all three division opponents in a row. Now, with a shortened week, they have to face a 2-8 Jets team coming off that upset of the Steelers in Week 11 and playing with nothing to lose. The Cowboys must not take the Jets lightly on Thanksgiving Day, or else their turkey will get roasted.

Well, Zack! You are exactly right!

How many times, have we seen teams in the past underestimate the ability of a team like the New York Jets, a team with Nothing to lose, upset a supposedly invincible team like the Dallas Cowboys for no other reason than “complacency”.

I mean lets face it. The Cowboys, while “dispatching” the New York Giants, almost didn’t. In fact, it was a game that produced a lot of Bald-headed guys, and Gals, as they had pulled their hair out.

So just what should we expect in the 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Thanksgiving Day massacre of the New York Jets?

Typically, the Dallas Cowboys OWN Thanksgiving Day. A with a Thanksgiving Day record of 24-14-1, there no reason to believe Dallas Cowboy fans should expect anything less, than Total Blow-out! But then again… ?

Undisputed! Cowboys Still Alone Atop NFC East With 31-20 Win

Trash Dispatch: “The Dallas Cowboys still stand alone atop the NFC East.”Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo

frm: DallasCowboys.com- Quarterback Tony Romo’s four touchdown passes at Giants Stadium, including a back-breaking 50-yarder to Terrell Owens in the fourth quarter, sparked a decisive 31-20 victory over the second-place New York Giants that pushed Dallas’ division lead to two games.

The Giants (6-3) appeared to pull even at 24-24 early in the fourth quarter, but Brandon Jacob’s 6-yard touchdown run was nullified by a holding penalty and the offense was forced to settle for a 26-yard field goal to make the score 24-20.

Six plays later, Romo hit Owens for his second touchdown catch of the day. The 50-yard score put the Cowboys ahead for good, 31-20, with 10:38 remaining.

Owens led all Cowboys receivers with six catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Romo completed 20 of 28 passes for 247 yards.
