Marijuana Vending MachineMarijuana Vending Machines Opening For Business in LA

Starting on Monday, people who have medical conditions such as glaucoma, cancer, and the deadly not-stoned-enough virus can start getting their fat buds from special “AVMs.”

To use them, you’ll need to go with a prescription in hand, get fingerprinted and get a prepaid credit card that’s loaded up with your dosage and what strain of weed you want. Yeah, no joke, the pharmacists in LA give you a choice between OG Kush and Granddaddy Purple.

Stock Markets Plunge WorldwideStocks Crash

LONDON (AP) — Stocks fell sharply worldwide Monday following declines on Wall Street last week amid investor pessimism over the U.S. government’s stimulus plan to prevent a recession.

TOKYO (AP) — Global stock markets extended their shakeout into a second day Tuesday, plunging amid worries that a possible U.S. recession will cause a worldwide economic slowdown. The dramatic declines were expected to spread to Wall Street, where stock index futures were already down sharply hours before the trading day began.

“Unless we get some positive ’shock effects,’ such as drastic measures from the U.S. government, there is almost no hope for a recovery in stocks,” said Koji Takeuchi, senior economist at Mizuho Research Institute in Tokyo.

Tiger Escapes, Kills Man at San Francisco Zoo

Tiger KillsA Large Siberian Tiger Escaped a San Francisco Zoo to kill one person on, of all things, Christmas Day!

Two others were also wounded though they are expected to recover.

The two injured men were listed in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. John Brown, an emergency room physician, told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Wednesday they suffered deep bites and claw cuts to their heads, necks, arms and hands.

“These injuries are severe injuries, but they are very treatable, and these two gentlemen seem to be in good health, so I think they have a good chance,” Brown said.- (AP)

Further, as reported by the Jackson Sun-
“The zoo’s director of animal care and conservation, Robert Jenkins, could not explain how Tatiana escaped. The tiger’s enclosure is surrounded by a 15-foot-wide moat and 20-foot-high walls, and the approximately 300-pound female did not leave through an open door, he said.”

“There was no way out through the door,” Jenkins said. “The animal appears to have climbed or otherwise leaped out of the enclosure.”

The first attack happened right outside the Siberian’s enclosure - the victim died at the scene. A group of four officers came across his body when they entered the dark zoo grounds, Mannina said.

The second victim was about 300 yards away, in front of the Terrace Cafe. The man was sitting on the ground, blood running from gashes in his head and Tatiana sitting next to him.

The cat attacked the man again, Mannina said. The officers approached the tiger with their handguns. Tatiana moved in their direction and several of the officers fired, killing the animal.

Only then did they see the third victim, who had also been mauled. [link]

A real Tragedy. And on Christmas Day, for Christ sake! Is there no Salvation from the Horrors of this world?

Siberian TigerI don’t like speculating, and won’t. But, can you imagine sitting at a cafe’, with your family, when suddenly a Raging Tiger Attacks you?

Think also of the children, Watching! And of their dreams, now turned Nightmares.

Trash Dispatch: Fire Fighters Close to Dousing Malibu Wildfire

malibu wildfireTrash Dispatch: The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is reporting;

Fire Fighters Close to Dousing Malibu Wildfire

November 26, 2007 — More than 1,400 fire fighters from Los Angles County Local 1014, CAL Fire Local 2881 and others have the Malibu, California, wildfire 90 percent contained. More than 50 homes and 4,700 acres have been burned. Some fire fighter injuries were reported, but none are considered serious.

“Our members in Southern California have surmounted incredible challenges,” says IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger. “I am proud of how fast they have responded and their dedication to keeping California safe. Now, we must fight for the additional resources needed to keep our fire fighters safe.”

“Since the Santa Ana winds have died down, fire fighters have been able to better prevent the spread of the fire,” reports Bob Wolf, president of Local 2881. “What is becoming clearer than ever is that there is no longer such thing as a ‘wildfire season.’ The risk of a wildfire breakout is constant. It is crucial that we get more year-round resources so that we can better combat the new reality in our state.”

The fire began on November 24 and spread quickly because of the Santa Ana winds and low humidity. About 15,000 people were evacuated initially, but many have been able to return home.

Fire investigators are already on the scene. Initial findings point to a campfire set by a group near Corral Canyon as a possible cause of the blaze. But investigators will continue to review the situation further before determining an official cause.

This report comes none too soon as only two days earlier, CNN was reporting;

MALIBU, California (CNN) — A “dangerous and dynamic” wildfire in Southern California that left six firefighters hurt and destroyed dozens of homes grew to 4,650 acres Saturday night, officials said.

But firefighters have been able to contain 25 percent of the blaze, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

They got a slight break when dry Santa Ana winds clocked at 57 mph (92 kph) earlier in the day decreased to about 20 mph, CNN meteorologist Jacqui Jeras said.

But the winds, blowing from the west, were unpredictable.

“Until the fire is knocked down, we can’t be sure what the next development will be,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky said at a news conference earlier.

About 10,000 people fled their homes in the Malibu area ahead of the flames, which began around 3:30 a.m. PT (6:30 a.m. ET)

The 2007 Thanksgiving Day 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Football Post Game Report.

Trash Dispatch:

Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo scores 29 Touchdown passesThe 2007 Thanksgiving Day 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Football Post Game Report.

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys in what should have been, a “50 - 0″ Flame Out for the New York Jets, just barely pulled this game out of the Spitoon with a “34 - 3″ Win.

Yeah ok. So it wasn’t even close. And the Dallas Cowboys handily put the New York Jets on a flight back to New York where they will lick their wounds right along side the New York Giants!

And yeah, Tony Romo eclipsed former Dallas Cowboy “Danny White’s” record of 29 Touchdown passes.

And yeah, the Dallas Cowboys are off to their Best Start EVER in their history at 10 and 1.

But make no mistake! The Jets gave a valiant effort before flaming out in Texas Stadium to fall to a miserable 2 - 9 record as “incredibly”, the Dallas Cowboy Defense did seem to step up on Turkey Day to hold the New York Jets to a three (3) point field goal which they made early in the game. But, …and as long as they can do it again Next Thursday, well then we should be ok.

However, and again, “BUT…,” we’re playing the GREEN BAY PACKERS next week and, …well, they ain’t the New York Jets. In fact, they ARE, … “Bret Farve”!

Need I say more?

Still, Terrence Newman is BACK!!! (which would account for the “3″ instead of “30″ points by the New York Jets.)
And I fully expect Patrick Crayton to be back to his ol Play Making self, delivering us (the fans), another game critical performance. Which, in the end, I guess, might just be the very element to account for my feeling of “un-easiness” about next week’s game against the Green Bay Packers as, and like I said, this game against the “4 - 6″ New York Jets should have been “50 - 0″, …by the end of the third quarter. But it didn’t happen! Instead, what happened was the Dallas Cowboys were held to “Two (2) Field Goals”, instead of two Touchdowns. And that bothers me!

Again, and I Pray, that Patrick Crayton is in fact, the reason the Cowboys didn’t score the points they Should have been able to score. As then he will be able to give us those Extra points that “i am Sure”, we are going to need against the Packers.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m just being (((PARANOID))). But after all, these are, the Green Bay Packers!!! And in case you haven’t been around for very long, I will tell you that the Packers, have Packed Our Cheese, a Bunch of times. Remember the “Ice Bowl”???

One thing is for sure. Both teams are “10 - 1″!
And no doubt, they will both give us all, the Game of the Century!

Thanks Guys!!!

The Dallas Cowboys 40th Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic

Trash Dispatch: Dallas Cowboys Football, November 22, 2007, Thanksgiving Day!

Leading up to the game, Zach Buchanan - DallasCowboys.com Staff Writer - writes;

GAME SET
WHAT: New York Jets (2-8) at Dallas Cowboys (9-1)
WHEN: Thursday, 3:15 p.m. (CST)
WHERE: Texas Stadium, Irving, Texas
TELEVISION: CBS (Jim Nantz and Phil Simms)

BIG ISSUE: The road to winning their first NFC East title since 1998 doesn’t get any easier for the Cowboys, even after dispatching all three division opponents in a row. Now, with a shortened week, they have to face a 2-8 Jets team coming off that upset of the Steelers in Week 11 and playing with nothing to lose. The Cowboys must not take the Jets lightly on Thanksgiving Day, or else their turkey will get roasted.

Well, Zack! You are exactly right!

How many times, have we seen teams in the past underestimate the ability of a team like the New York Jets, a team with Nothing to lose, upset a supposedly invincible team like the Dallas Cowboys for no other reason than “complacency”.

I mean lets face it. The Cowboys, while “dispatching” the New York Giants, almost didn’t. In fact, it was a game that produced a lot of Bald-headed guys, and Gals, as they had pulled their hair out.

So just what should we expect in the 40th annual Dallas Cowboy Thanksgiving Day massacre of the New York Jets?

Typically, the Dallas Cowboys OWN Thanksgiving Day. A with a Thanksgiving Day record of 24-14-1, there no reason to believe Dallas Cowboy fans should expect anything less, than Total Blow-out! But then again… ?

LATimes Endangers Firefighters with Bad Advice to Public

Trash Dispatch:
"LATimes Endangers Firefighters with Bad Advice to Public"

Incredible, but True!

The LATimes, on October 24, 2007, in a story by Mary Engel an Los Angeles Times Staff Writer, advised California residents fleeing the California Wildfires to,

* Use a garden hose to wet the roof. Wet the ground within 15 feet of the home.

* Leave lawn sprinklers on. If possible, set sprinklers on the roof or near above-ground propane tanks.

The is "BAD ADVICE", said one fire expert.
Leaving sprinklers on, and wetting down lawns, and roofs, does nothing more than rob firefighters of the BADLY NEEDED WATER AND PRESSURE, they need to fight the fires. And when your on a hilltop, with Wildfires Raging all around you, you don't want to run short of either.

Leaving sprinklers on as the LATimes advises causes the firefighters to move in closer to the fires in order to fight them and need i say, that a sudden drop in pressure or loss of water is both Frightening, and Terrifying!

The advice of the LATimes is SO BAD,
that they have now posted the following on their website;
"
FOR THE RECORD:
Fire protection: An article in Wednesday's Section A about preparing for a fire evacuation advised leaving lawn sprinklers on and using a garden hose to wet the roof or the area around your house. In fact, sprinklers should be turned off to preserve water for firefighters, and wetting a roof or area around your house is not effective in Santa Ana winds, fire experts say. —"

John Stossel, 20/20, on the American Health Care System

Trash Dispatch:
Friday night's episode of 20/20 featured a report by John Stossel on the American Health Care System called, "Who's body its it anyway?".

In it, John not only compares the American Health Care System to Canada's, and other "government" health care systems. But also, to itself. To wit, medical health care as provided by the government, and/or, it's Insurance companies. Compared to medical health care provided by "the Patient".

Yes, that's right! Medical health care provided by the patient.

How is this accomplished?

Through three ancient, and very age old techniques called, "Shopping, Free Enterprise, and Capitalism".

Turns out, that patients with High deductible insurance, or even, No insurance at all. Are shopping to find the best possible care, for the cheapest possible price. Which in turn has caused a growth of "Private Clinics" in places like the Mall and even Walmart, where "Free Market Capitalism is allowed to Compete for Your health care dollar by Lowering prices, and increasing the Quality of your health.

As opposed to low or no deductible insurance patients, who, "Don't Care" what it cost, as they are not paying for their health care, anyway.

And hey, who can blame them? I mean, if your not having to pay for your health care, then what would you care what someone else has to pay. In truth, John Stossel's report made it is Easy to see that the reason health care is so expensive in this country, is because of the Health Care Insurance Industry, and Not, because of the profit hungry Drug companies seeking to make a profit. In deed the Drug companies would Lower their prices "if" they had to compete for your dollar. But they don't have to compete for your dollar, as it is the "insurance" company that is footing the bill, and Not You.

Consequently, the health you receive is "poor", at best. And almost non-exsistent in other counties like Canada where you have to Wait 6months to a year, just for an office visit.

Oh sure, the visit is FREE!
But what does that matter when your already DEAD???

John Stossel also interviews "Micheal Moore" -the Hero of the liberal/left/communist democrat party, and propionate of the Canadian Health Care System,- who basically just sat there and Laugh at everybody who had to depend on insurance for their health care, because the truth is, Micheal Moore is Self-insured, and spent his health care dollars at Spa in Florida and not, for a Canadian Health Care facility. (Hypocrite!)

There is far more to the story than what I can print here of course. But the Trash Dispatch would like to Thank John Stossel for his incredibly concise, fair, and in depth reporting on the American Health Care System. And highly recommends that you visit John's ABC webpage HERE, and check out some of his other articles at Real Clear Politics, "HERE".

Dallas Cowboys WIN! 45-35

In a back and forth game which kept us on the edge of our seats, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off a win against the New York Giants in last night's home opening game.

Tony Romo, completed 15-of-24 passes and produced a career-high of 354 yards, and four touchdowns. Romo did have one interception, but made up for it by running the football into the end zone himself, for a touchdown in what he called; "the funnest play of the night."

The Cowboys, going into the game, were without starters Terry Glenn, Terence Newman, and Greg Ellis. And would also lose nose tackle Jason Ferguson who suffered a torn bicep that will likely be season-ending. (sorry Jason. Get Well Soon!) Nevertheless, the Cowboys still had enough star players to do the job, and on this night, one of them was quarterback Tony Romo. (at-a-boy Tony)

"Exciting", is only one way to describe this game as the "suspense", of would Tony and his Cowboys falter as they did last year in a key game that would have taken them into the play-offs; made this game an "edge of your seat" type game that was Joyful to see, and a Long time in coming.

Congratulations Boys!
And Thank You, Tony Romo!
