North Texas Flooding Takes Four Lives

Gainesville, Texas Monday morning was inundated with Torrential Rain at rates above 3" per hour for several hours resulting in a 12" rainfall that Flooded several square miles of the North Texas community including the city of Gainesville proper.

Residents were awakened to water levels as high as, ...well, high enough to float a Mobil Home from off it's lot, into the raging waters, and finally Smashing the home into a bridge where it then acted as a partial Dam and creating even "Deeper" problems. At this time I do not know if anyone was in the mobile home when it was destroyed, but rumor has it, that they are safe.

Most residents managed to escape with their lives by climbing onto their rooftops where they awaited rescue.

I watched this morning as News Choppers were taping rescue operations conducted by local rescue teams utilizing everything from Hovercrafts to, whatever they could get their hands on.

I'm talking major, Major Damage and Destruction the likes of which I haven't seen since the New Orleans Disaster. But don't expect FEMA to come to the rescue as it "appeared" that most of the disaster victims were White, and those who weren't, were already WET from crossing the Rio Grande.
