Two Billion Rats Flee Risng Waters in China

Trash Dispatch:
Scientist blame "Global Warming", of course. But the Hundreds of thousands of Chinese villagers in east China's Huai river basin, blame the Dam!

Yahoo News reports, "Torrential summer rains across the country have fed floods and landslides that had killed 403 people, left 105 missing and forced the evacuation of 3.17 million by Friday!"

How do you evacuate 3.17 Million People in 5 days?
Yell, "Katrina" in a crowded city.

Not to poke fun however as Government authorities warned that water levels along tributaries feeding the Huai river are Rising, and threatening to break their banks.

But the Rats! Oh lord, the rats!
More than 2 billion of them fleeing the rising waters of Dongting Lake where authorities in the Hunan province are battling to contain the plague (of rats).

But it wasn't global warming that caused this problem. It was Man!

China's massive Three Gorges Dam project, had lowered water levels below the project, creating ideal conditions for a rodent population explosion. But then the Rains Came! And the rats had nowhere to go but up.
