Yahoo! News - Some in Congress Talk of Iraq Withdrawal

WASHINGTON - Talk of withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq (news - web sites) is simmering on Capitol Hill.

It's mostly from Democrats — Edward Kennedy on Thursday became the first senator to say "we must begin" withdrawal — but Republicans, too, expect the discussion to increase as an Iraqi government takes shape and Congress considers more billions of dollars for the war.

"What if", Iraq turned into one of the safest places in the world for Americans? After all, even the French loved Americans, until they Forgot. Or did they just become Ungrateful? Hmmm? The only problem is, I don't remember when it was that we Abandoned the French, as the Democrats, and the French, would have us do the Iraqis?
