Trash Dispatch: Spam Alert!

Trash Dispatch:
Spam! Hated by all, the life blood of many. Life blood, because unfortunately, it works. Not unlike Direct Snail mail, spam produces about 1/10th of 1% of orders received. Which means, if you mail out 1000 ads, you will receive at least one response. 10,000 emails, 10 responses. 1 million emails, 1000 responses. And so on.

Here at the Trash Dispatch, we don’t do spam! We simply publish articles, and links to articles, that we think might interest the public with the Hope, that someone at sometime might click on an ad of interest, so that we can make a penny for the click.

Yes, the Trash dispatch uses Ads to support itself. Well, if you call $18 for the year, support. Which essentially means that while the Trash Dispatch can support itself (in as far as webhosting fees), it cannot support the people behind the Trash Dispatch. But that’s ok, because the Trash Dispatch was never meant to be a Money Maker. Instead it was/is a place where myself and other concerned citizens of the United States, might voice their opinion in a relatively Open forum. Open that is, in that we allowed Anyone to post their Comment(s) without screening, without discrimination, without Waiting to see your comment posted. (I always hated to post a comment on someone’s sight, only to Wait, sometimes for a week, sometimes Longer, even Still waiting for my comment to be posted by an administer who is probably out getting drunk somewhere, as, they used Spam to generate hits, so that can now relax on a beach somewhere with a bunch of Naked women, and the money they made from, well, from Spam.

Tempting as it may be, The Trash Dispatch does not use this method of attracting visitors. Technorati, Digg, and Trackbacks to articles we have written about, Sure. But to impose on someone, that which frowned upon simply to make a buck is, “unscrupulous”. But then, whoever said that we live in a world where morals and values have any meaning but to Oppress those who would adhere to them. In truth I believe, morals and values and even religion, were all invented by the “Masters of the World”, to keep their Slaves in check. But, I digress.

The topic here is Spam, and the inconvenience it is about to cause YOU the reader and would be commenter, as the Trash Dispatch has become a victim of these A–H—s, and will now have to Regulate comments to it’s articles. I mean, it’s either that, or, submit to the Spammers, allowing them to post freely, so that You also may post freely. So I don’t know. I don’t want to regulate comments. But, if I don’t, then there will be so many “Spamments”, that normal people, won’t be able to hold a conversation without being harassed.

So, here it is. I have decided to initiate a wordpress Spam Catcher called “Akismet’ which, according to Wordpress “-checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You can review the spam it catches under “Manage” and it automatically deletes old spam after 15 days.-”. Problem is, it catches legitimate comments as well. That’s why it has a “review” feature. But I don’t have the time to search through 10000 Spams a day just to find a single comment. I mean I’m sorry, but if your comment isn’t posted, then PLEASE Try posting Again.
ALL Comments are Welcomed! And while I will remove those with “cursing”, I do not remove those that voice “constructive” criticism, or even anger, as long as it’s clean. Nevertheless, as in Real life -or rather, as in life outside the internet- it is a Sick Twisted Few, who cause Authoritarian Oppression, for the many.

The Final Solution? Simple. A Chip, implanted into each and every individual that they may be Tracked, and their movements documented so that if they ever Spam anybody, they will be arrested, and Hung. …Hmmm? Where have I heard that before?

And the people will cry, “Save Us”, as crime swells to rate at which they will just not be able to take anymore. In deed, it will be the Victims of crime, who will Beg for the Chip.

Think it can’t happen? Well get this. The Trash Dispatch now uses a Spam catcher, for the benefit, of it’s patrons. But again, I digress.
