Trash Dispatch: Texas State Senator Kirk Watson (DEMOCRAT), in an effort to defray scrutiny over possible (and documented) “Conflict of Interest” accusations by a local (Austin, Texas) blogger (Sal Costello), has charged said blogger, with “Character Assasination”.
Interestingly, the accusations made by blogger Sal Costello, have now been taken up by Fox 7 News who, invited both men to a debate where they could Duke it Out.
Texas State Senator Kirk Watson (DEMOCRAT), REFUSED indicating that the facts of his Conflict of Interest , were nothing more than a “Character Assassination”.
The Trash Dispatch however, has obtained a copy of “one” of the documents cited by “The Muckraker” (Sal’s blog), and found it to be an Official Record of the City of Austin, Texas.
Sal writes in The Muckraker:
“As you know, Sen. Kirk Watson, as the Chair of CAMPO, spent months lining up YES votes, to spend $910 million tax dollars to shift our freeways to tollways in Austin.
And in that time, I’ve exposed many Watson conflicts on this blog. Last week, some of those conflicts finally got into the mainstream media, the first was a live spot I did on KXAN’s lunch time show Monday.
I received a call mid week from Fox 7 News asking me to have a Toll Road debate on their news program with Sen. Kirk Watson. I agreed to the debate, but I got word that Sen. Watson declined.”
Well, DUH!!!
